Score Pending — Limited Data

We do not currently have enough commercially displayable fund-specific data to calculate a reliable score. This is not a negative assessment of the ETF.

ETFs on this site are scored by a separate, fund-specific model sourced from official SEC filings (Form N-PORT, N-CEN, Risk/Return Summary) when enough evidence exists -- this is not the same model or scale used for operating-company research pages. How it works →

Fund Overview

CDZ is a Canadian dividend-growth-equity index fund managed by BlackRock Canada, designed to give investors exposure to Canadian companies with an established history of consistently increasing their dividend for multiple consecutive years.

Index Strategy

CDZ tracks the S&P/TSX Canadian Dividend Aristocrats Index, which requires constituent companies to have increased their dividend for at least five consecutive years to remain eligible for inclusion. Index membership and weights are set by S&P Dow Jones Indices, an independent third-party index provider.

Geographic Exposure

All underlying holdings are companies listed on Canadian exchanges; the fund does not hold securities listed on foreign exchanges.

Principal Risks

As a fund whose index methodology screens or weights constituents by dividend yield, dividend growth history, or payout characteristics, CDZ.TO carries sector-concentration risk (Canadian dividend-oriented indices are often weighted toward financials, energy, telecom, and utilities), the general risk that current dividend policies can be reduced or discontinued by underlying issuers, and single-country equity-market risk.
