We do not currently have enough commercially displayable fund-specific data to calculate a reliable score. This is not a negative assessment of the ETF.

ETFs on this site are scored by a separate, fund-specific model sourced from official SEC filings (Form N-PORT, N-CEN, Risk/Return Summary) when enough evidence exists -- this is not the same model or scale used for operating-company research pages. How it works →

Fund Overview

XDV is a Canadian dividend-equity index fund managed by BlackRock Canada, designed to give investors exposure to a select group of Canadian companies with a history of paying dividends.

Index Strategy

XDV tracks the Dow Jones Canada Select Dividend Index, which screens and weights Canadian dividend-paying companies using dividend-related criteria such as yield and dividend-per-share growth history. Index membership and weights are set by S&P Dow Jones Indices, an independent third-party index provider.

Geographic Exposure

All underlying holdings are companies listed on Canadian exchanges; the fund does not hold securities listed on foreign exchanges.

Principal Risks

As a fund whose index methodology screens or weights constituents by dividend yield, dividend growth history, or payout characteristics, XDV.TO carries sector-concentration risk (Canadian dividend-oriented indices are often weighted toward financials, energy, telecom, and utilities), the general risk that current dividend policies can be reduced or discontinued by underlying issuers, and single-country equity-market risk.
