Score Pending — Limited Data
We do not currently have enough commercially displayable fund-specific data to calculate a reliable score. This is not a negative assessment of the ETF.
ETFs on this site are scored by a separate, fund-specific model sourced from official SEC filings (Form N-PORT, N-CEN, Risk/Return Summary) when enough evidence exists -- this is not the same model or scale used for operating-company research pages. How it works →

Fund Overview
XIC is a broad Canadian equity index fund managed by BlackRock Canada, designed to provide exposure to a wide cross-section of companies listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange rather than a narrower large-cap-only slice of the market.
Index Strategy
XIC tracks the S&P/TSX Capped Composite Index, a market-capitalization-weighted index covering a large majority of Canadian-listed equities with individual issuer weights capped to limit concentration in any single company. Index membership and weights are set by S&P Dow Jones Indices, an independent third-party index provider.
Geographic Exposure
All underlying holdings are companies listed on Canadian exchanges, giving the fund broad exposure to the Canadian economy across multiple sectors; the fund does not hold securities listed on foreign exchanges.
Principal Risks
As a market-capitalization-weighted index fund, XIC.TO carries sector-concentration risk common to the Canadian equity market generally -- particularly to the financials and energy sectors, which together represent a large share of most broad Canadian equity indices by weight. The fund also carries general equity-market risk and single-country risk, since its holdings are limited to companies listed in Canada rather than being globally diversified.
