Score Pending — Limited Data

We do not currently have enough commercially displayable fund-specific data to calculate a reliable score. This is not a negative assessment of the ETF.

ETFs on this site are scored by a separate, fund-specific model sourced from official SEC filings (Form N-PORT, N-CEN, Risk/Return Summary) when enough evidence exists -- this is not the same model or scale used for operating-company research pages. How it works →

Fund Overview

ZAG is a broad Canadian fixed-income index fund managed by BMO Global Asset Management, holding a diversified mix of Canadian government and investment-grade corporate bonds rather than equities.

Index Strategy

ZAG tracks the FTSE Canada Universe Bond Index, a market-capitalization-weighted index of Canadian federal, provincial, and investment-grade corporate bonds across a range of maturities. Index membership and weights are set by FTSE Russell, an independent third-party index provider.

Geographic Exposure

All underlying holdings are Canadian-dollar-denominated bonds issued by Canadian governments and corporations; the fund does not hold foreign-currency-denominated bonds.

Principal Risks

As a fund tracking a broad investment-grade Canadian bond index, ZAG.TO carries interest-rate risk (bond prices generally fall when interest rates rise) and credit risk from its corporate and government bond holdings, along with general fixed-income market risk; it does not carry equity-market risk.
