Score Pending — Limited Data
We do not currently have enough commercially displayable fund-specific data to calculate a reliable score. This is not a negative assessment of the ETF.
ETFs on this site are scored by a separate, fund-specific model sourced from official SEC filings (Form N-PORT, N-CEN, Risk/Return Summary) when enough evidence exists -- this is not the same model or scale used for operating-company research pages. How it works →

Fund Overview
ZQQ is a U.S. large-cap, technology-heavy equity index fund managed by BMO Global Asset Management that adds a currency-hedging overlay, intended to reduce the effect of Canadian-dollar/U.S.-dollar exchange-rate movements on the fund's returns relative to an unhedged equivalent.
Index Strategy
ZQQ tracks the NASDAQ-100 Index, hedged to the Canadian dollar, using currency forward contracts to offset most of the CAD/USD exchange-rate exposure. The NASDAQ-100 is a modified-capitalization-weighted index of the 100 largest non-financial companies listed on the Nasdaq exchange, with a well-documented tilt toward the technology sector.
Geographic Exposure
All underlying holdings are large-capitalization, primarily technology-sector companies listed on the Nasdaq exchange in the United States; the fund's U.S.-dollar currency exposure is substantially hedged back to the Canadian dollar.
Principal Risks
As a market-capitalization-weighted U.S. large-cap index fund with a currency-hedging overlay, ZQQ.TO carries general equity-market risk and sector-concentration risk common to its target index. The hedging strategy is intended to reduce, not eliminate, the effect of Canadian-dollar/U.S.-dollar exchange-rate movements on returns, and hedging itself introduces additional derivative-counterparty and tracking considerations relative to an unhedged fund.
