ZUH is a single-sector U.S. equity fund managed by BMO Global Asset Management, concentrated in U.S. healthcare-sector companies, weighted equally across them, and hedged to the Canadian dollar.
Index Strategy
ZUH tracks the Solactive Equal Weight US Health Care Index, hedged to the Canadian dollar, which holds U.S.-listed healthcare-sector companies at approximately equal weights rather than weighting them by market size. Index membership and weights are set by Solactive AG, an independent third-party index provider, and the currency-hedging overlay is intended to reduce CAD/USD exchange-rate exposure.
Geographic Exposure
All underlying holdings are U.S. healthcare-sector companies listed on U.S. exchanges; the fund's U.S.-dollar currency exposure is substantially hedged back to the Canadian dollar.
Principal Risks
As an equal-weight, single-sector index fund, ZUH.TO carries concentrated sector risk, since its return depends on the business conditions affecting that sector as a whole, and the equal-weight methodology means smaller constituent companies can have as much influence on the fund's return as the largest ones, unlike a capitalization-weighted approach.
